MISSION - VISION - PURPOSE

THE MISSION

The Mission of St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the mind, body, and soul of all people through serving, stewardship, and love for the glorification of God.

THE VISION

At every level of the Connection and in every local church, St. Peter A.M.E. Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the AME Church evolved: that is, to seek out and save the lost, and to serve the needy. It is also the duty of Church to continue to encourage all members to become involved in all aspects of church training. We will empower God's people by serving via outreach ministry in the community. We will educate God's people with biblical financial principles, trainings, and resources to become debt free and financial stable. Above all, St. Peter A.M.E. Church will love with the love of Christ to draw God's people to him.

SERVICE TIMES

THE OBJECTIVE

In order to meet the needs of every level of the Connection and in every local church, the Church shall implement strategies to train all members in: (1) Christian discipleship, (2) Christian leadership, (3) current teaching methods and materials, (4) the history and significance of the Church, (5) God’s biblical principles, and (6) social development to which all should be applied to daily living.

THE PURPOSES

The ultimate purposes are:

  1. make available God’s biblical principles,
  2. spread Christ’s liberating gospel, and
  3. provide continuing programs which will enhance the entire social development of all people.

THE DESTINY

WE SEE A CHURCH consumed by the MISSION OF GOD:

consumed with helping people find the joy that only comes through salvation in Jesus Christ. It’s a church where people find freedom, answers, miracles, hope, and ultimately FIND GOD. They count whatever the cost and pay whatever the price to see people redeemed by God.
